This Indian Kurta I found in a local fashion store (where shopping itself was a unique local experience I'd like to describe in other blog entry soon) in a little town in Uttar Pradesh, India, during my first trip. I fell immediately in love with this non-branded piece, not only because of the price, but the print was very unique to any other dress in this store. A calm and beautiful pattern, but not too boring with earthy colors. Perfect for my first Indian traditional daily outfit.
Back in Berlin I still liked the Kurta, but I felt I need to twist the outfit a little bit for Berlin streets. Instead of Kurta and Pyjama (Indian leggings), I chose a black leather skirt with black leather sandals. To complete the style I added a slim black belt to underline my waist. It also helped with the strong wind that day, as the kurta is cut on the sides until the hip ;)
